"Little Sheldon" Big Bang spinoff

There has been much speculation in the fanbase over whether the Big Bang Theory will have any spinoff series after the show eventually ends. With another two years being negotiated on the current show, we will have to wait a longer to answer that question but it has been confirmed that a prequel featuring 10 yr old Sheldon is well on its way.

The prequel for the CBS chairman-CEO, Leslie Moonves has predicted that the network will return five or six of the new the 17 pilots ordered for next season, although he emphasized that could change depending on how the completed pilots come in.

Moonves didn’t cite specific titles other than to give a thumbs-up to the “Big Bang” spinoff he called “Little Sheldon.” The Warner Bros. TV comedy revolves around the childhood of the “Big Bang Theory” character Sheldon Cooper, played by Jim Parsons.

Moonves is very happy with the script by showrunner Steven Molaro and said 'Little Sheldon' would probably air after 'The Big Bang Theory. Iain Ermitage is being eyed to play the young Sheldon and Zoe Perry is in talks to play Sheldon’s mother, Mary Cooper.
