The biggest news from the Writers Room at this years Comic Con is the introduction of Penny's family. We saw Leonard's father at the end of last season and now its Penny's turn with her mother and brother being cast. Katey Sagal will play the mother of Kaley Cuoco’s character, Penny. These two have already worked together on '8 Simple Rules' where she also played her mom. She has also starred in 'Sons of Anarchy' and 'Married with Children'. Sagel's character is described as

The Big Bang Theory panel at this years Comic Con will again be made up of the shows writers. If this is the final season (which I would like to predict that it will NOT be) then this is your last chance to see these guys in the flesh and throw some questions at them. Sadly, it seems no cast will be attending, although they promise a special video presentation. So perhaps there will be something pre-recorded from them all.
